The northern region of M-Dubz, Mzuzu in particular continues producing up and coming talents that if well natured, could be legends in the near future.
This week, EM’s Lawrence Nachipo drives us to Mzuzu to meet one raw talented rapper, and song writer, Warner Chandie, birth name, Wanangwa Chandiona.

Entry into music
Warner Chandie said he started doing music in 2016 through his home boy who is one of the well-known producers from the north side P Nice.
“P Nice is the guy behind my music career. It’s him who saw some potential in me and kept on encouraging me whenever I felt like quitting,” he recalls.
The youthful rapper did his first projects with P Nice which includes; No More, Nkhukhumba (tumbuka song) and Change.all these three track, he featured his producer, P Nice.
Warner Chandie went silent in the year 2017 because of school and other problems but then it was not the end of his career. Come 2018 the Mzuzu based rapper has commenced his solo music career trying to push his art as an up and coming rapper and song writer.
Recently he has released HANDIEFULL which is enjoying some local airplays. The song was also released with a video on the same.
HANDIEFULL, produced by MBJ and Twiggy, is a song that tackles the artist’s everyday life stories. The handful of stories, handful of punch lines, handful of dope rap styles, handful of love stories, handful of entertaining people, he explained his song like that.
Meanwhile, Warner is in the studio finishing his forthcoming project, TACKLE which will be released together with the video as he has started. The video is being directed by 2017 UMP Video Director of the year nominee, and 2018 Nyasa Music Awards Video Director of the Year nominee, Mest Media. DJ KenLo and Logan Beats are the brains behind the audio production.
