Has it come on your mind and ask yourself why a self-proclaimed king of the North King does not have any albums since when he ventured into music industry?
Well this will be a history as the Don, Wakisa James is set to release debut album Bishop this summer.
According to the singer, the album Bishop is named after his father Bishop Chiona as an appreciation for being among the people who have inspired the artist throughout his life.
“Bishop is an album that consists of a lot of messages that people can relate to, there are love songs, inspiration songs and more. I named it after my father Bishop, because I feel that it represents the kind of man he is. He inspired me, taught and raised to be the man that I am. This album is one way I want to show my appreciation to my big man.” He said.
He added on to express that he feels that the album of our time while hoping to give his fans and urban music lovers their preferable kind of music.
“As I aim to grow every day and every time I release new music, everything that I do I do it for my fans. With the kind of material I have put on this album I believe it will entertain many people. This is the Wakisa James I want them to know.” He explained.
Sharing same sentiments, Banya Bling one of the versatile up and coming artist who makes guest appearance on the album said that people should expect fireworks from the album, praising it as probably to be one of the best albums of the year.
“Wakisa James is like a legend, everybody knows that. If you check his discography he has had hit after hit since he started making music. Dating from Dalitsani Azanga, Sibweni, to Faya, he has contributed some the best songs in the Mdubs music industry. With that background, you should expect more hits from his debut album.” He said.
Other artists featured in the album include rapper Mandela alias Third Eye and Chronic, whereas production and engineering of all songs was handled by his longtime associate, and Chatha hit maker DJ Ken Lo of Super Sound Records.
