The Mzuzu, afro-Jazz queen Trizah Titus is set to release her first song, We are one on 5th February 2019, this coming Tuesday, EM can reveal.
Trizah explained that the song preaches about love peace and unity among us Malawians.
“We are children of thy kingdom, we are family, and we are one. This is what the song is saying. How can you kill your family member? God created us all, there’s no chewas nor tumbukas in his eyes.” She said
According to her, some traces of tribalism and hatred on one another by Malawians was the main motivation for her to release We are one.
“The hate we have for one another in Malawi made me think we forget that we are God’s creation, and that makes us one in his eyes so we are family. We need to promote love despite our genders or skin colour” she explained
Meanwhile, the singer is hopeful the song is going to be palatable across the country.
“This song has no age limit, the old and the younger generation will love it. I have used local language, Tumbuka and also English so that it can reach to all corners,” she explains.
The song was produced by Zephy Mr Oldies and features Wakisa James, Loyal Star and Zephy himself.
Meanwhile, it has also been learnt that We are One will be a single of Trizah’s yet-to-be-named album schedules for release later this year.
