As Covid 19 blues continue ransacking literary all parts of mankind globally, here, Don Tarz has joined the legion of the victims as the pandemic has forced him to cancel his usual birthday bash.

Don Tarz’ birthday falls on the 15th of April. Normally, every year, he had been holding birthday bashes in selected sites in L-City. B

All things being equal, Don was scheduled to have another of those bashes this coming weekend. Sadly, this year, Corona Virus has had the last laugh.

With the current status quo (Corona Virus prevalence), the artist has painfully accepted that he won’t be hosting the bash this year.

In an interview with Entertainment Malawi, the artist said, as a law abiding citizen, he had to take heed of all government regulations on Corona virus prevention.

“It is sad that l will not raise any income using this form. As usual, I was supposed to have a birthday bash but looking at the situation, it’s unfair to be celebrating,” he said.

The artist, however, said it was sad that one of his income generating activities had to be cancelled courtesy of some unforeseen factors.

“It’s a misfortune to me as an artist because live concerts are one of my sources of incomes. But now, with this pandemic, life will definitely will be hard,” he cried.

Last year, his birthday bash took place at California Club at Mtandire (Lilongwe)  where he had guest appearances from the likes of Njuchi Zitatu, Tuff Lions Band, and Ace Dirty among others.

The cancellation has also not gone down well with some of the artist’s fans.

One of such fans, Alfred Kamwendo from the Capital city said he was looking forward to another Don Tarz scintillating performance.

“Don Tarz is one of the artists I like and follow (his music) a lot. Being a fan, l was ready to help him celebrate his day since he is such a humble artist. As of now, I’m disappointed knowing that there will not be one,” Kamwendo regrets.
