THE YOUNG GENERATION
By Lonjezo Idrissah
There are a lot of hapless individuals who have always been looking down on themselves. These are the people who lack self-confidence and never see anything good out of themselves. Normally, such kind of people wait for others’ approval for literary anything in their lives. It is very bad for oneself to always wait for others’ approval to see how important you are or your actions.
Fellow Young Generation, we need to be someone who is able to appreciate our good deeds and not waiting for our friends, neighbours, anybody to approve or appreciate it. When you wait for other people to appreciate you so that you can see your greatness, then you are useless. This means that you have not really discovered your true self. In other words, you have not yet discovered your importance in this life that you are living.
When you wait other people to appreciate you, this means that you have placed your life in the hands of other people. You need to know that those people might not always appreciate your life. They can even say bad things about you. They can even gossip at you and even stop being your friends at the time they may choose.
As such, it is better to be appreciating your life. You need to be seeing your value in every day of your life not waiting other people that surround you to be determining your value. You are very special in your own aspect and you deserve nothing but happiness. And true happiness begins with you.
Fellow Young Generation, when one realises the true importance in appreciating oneself, one grows. So it is an insult to your life to be comparing your life with others for one’s life is different from other.
