- Double celebration!
By Kedson Ngwira
After dishing a couple of mind bobbling hit songs over the years, forgotten Afro-pop artist, No Limit is set to be in the limelight again as he is set to release a record 20 hit song album, “N’zaulendo Uno” on his birthday, the 7th of April 2019.
“Nzaulendo uno” roughly translated “The current status quo” unravels the mishaps Malawi is sailing through, be it spiritual, social, political and other various angles of mankind in Malawi.
“The album talks about how life is today generally. We have a lot of challenges related love, social, health, and political, spiritual, economical e.t.c.”he reveals.
That is not all. According to the artist, the album’s name has some biblical origins though it is not necessarily a gospel album.
“I actually made the title from the book of Revelations, which talks of the end of times. So it’s Biblically driven but it’s not necessarily ‘gospel’ as we know it here.” No Limit says.
So far, out of the 20 songs expected from the album, 11 songs have already been released between 2016 and 2018.
No Limit believes his album will have a positive impact to people of Malawi and even the surrounding areas.
“I believe that songs will change people’s way of life in some way especially to becoming better citizens of Malawi. It has songs for ages 14 and above. I am ready and will be making appearance in shows anytime soon and believe to wow my fans.” He hopes.
“Nzaulendo Uno” is the second from this gifted artist after his debut, Reach out & Touch in 2010.
Various revered producers have had a touch in this impending album including Zephy Oldies, Sly C, Blage, Ken Lo and a whole lot others.
It also features various M-Dubz urban artists like Mafo, Wakisa James, Crispy wa pampene, Chavura, and others.
Meanwhile, the album is going to be available for free online downloads, and will also be available for sale on CDs.
