Despite not losing a match during its northern region trip, TNM Super league rookies, Nchalo United has gone back to the lower Shire with just a point from their four points collected as the team was serving a 3-point deduction by the country’s FA.
Nchalo was ordered to surrender the said points by the Football Association of Malawi after it was found guilty of match fixing during a Carlsberg Cup tie with Chitipa United way back in 2017.
So, Nchalo United’s otherwise fruitful away journey which saw it massacring Mzuni Fc on Saturday before a 1 – all draw with Moyale Barracks FC (on Sunday) now means the sugarmen are now having a single point from the two matches played.
Overall, the Charles Manda boys displayed some marvelous one-touch soccer that left the spectators yearning for more from the away team. And in a post-match interview on Sunday, Manda commended his boys for putting up gallant fights.
“I’m very happy the way my boys have played the two games. It’s not easy to collect four points to away games , we have played and it is gone. We will go back to the drawing board and see the how we will soldier on,” said Manda.
For his opposite encounter part, Charles Kamanga, the men in uniform spoiled the fun.
“The referees Association must not just accredit these referees just because he has passed cooper test. Cooper test is just a matter of running which I can as well manage , they should go in class and learn how to differentiate a hand ball and a ball to hand” said disappointed Kamanga.
During the game Nchalo was awarded a penalty after a defender for Moyale FC had handled in the D-zone. Onesmos Mbendera for Nchalo failed to utilize the already scared chances of the game to cut the lead as the team his trailing by a goal to nil from a Gastin Sinkonda goal.
