Lilongwe based enterprising rapper, Crispy Malawi has asked fellow artists in the country to play a leading role in encouraging the youths to be doing well in the society.
In an interview, the artist said artists in the country should follow the footsteps of some of the country’s legendary artists like Fredokiss, Gwamba and many others who are using music to positively influence the youth.
“Our lifestyles must inspire kids in the society. There are a number of initiatives we can come up with in the society like the way our fellow artists like Gwamba, Fredokiss and many others are doing.
Despite going on stage these artists are playing a great role in the society in influencing the youth,” he said.
He said that artists should also focus on continuing their academic studies whenever necessary as that, according to him, would also inspire many Malawian youths to follow suit.
“As artists, we need to lead by example. If we have financial resources we need to push up education wise, because music goes well with education. Even if we are to look at the artists doing well in the country, we see that they are having degrees and other higher education qualifications,” he said.
Born Chifundo Chingaipe, he came to the limelight in 2015 with a track titled Ngati chitsiru and is set to drop a Video and a Single shortly.
