Musical dreams are slowly turning into reality for fast rising urban music slow jams icon, Bathro, real name Mathews Lambulira as he has featured Malceba, and Blaze in new track, Tanditole, which is to be released on the 22nd October 2018.
Bathro, who stormed the M-Dubz urban music podium with a hit single, Mundileke, is now slowly establishing himself as a voice worthy a second ear having managed to coax two of the country’s urban music heavyweights.
In Mundileke, Bathro played the persona of young successful but unmarried town monger who is arguing that marriage has no age limit. In Tanditole however, enterprising Bathro reveals his versatility as he plays the persona of a young man who is in love.
According to the artist, Tanditole is a dedication to all the love birds that are tying knots this year.
“This song is dedication to all Malawians getting married this year. It’s like summarizing the joy of those married and those to get married.” He said.
That aside, Tanditole is also clearing the mist that Mundileke had created from some quarters who felt Bathro has no room in his heart for romance as the song was criticizing the school of thought that equated marriage to a certain age.
“Chikondi ndichobeba heavy but you have to be a grown up and I’m just telling people that love and marriage are good but only when you do at the right time because when I did my Mundileke some people thought that it was personal and thought that I hate love,” He clarified.
So, why choose Malceba and Blaze for the song?
“Macelba and Blaze are well established artists on romantic songs, and also these artists have vast experience. So the best way for me to be great is to learn more from the best as well; Malceba, and Blaze perfectly fit that,” he said.
Listening to Tanditole, one would easily cherish the creativity in both the lyrical composure of Bathro and also the maturity in the overall composition courtesy of two giants in music production, Henwood and Zephy Oldies. Bathro attests to these feats.
“The coordination of instrumentation and voices is so matured. I have also included some manual instruments in it like Guitar plus ideas from my two producers, Henwood and Zephy and make it rich,” he said.
Meanwhile, as promotions for song are in motion prior to its release date, Bathro has revealed that he is starting to shoot videos on some of his songs shortly. We will keep you updated as events unfold.
