Glorified acoustic gospel singer and producer, Miracle Ndonani, known in music circles as Cozizwa, has released a new single titled Miyala on Monday, the 13th of May 2019.

The artist, who combines local instrumentations with urban vibes to make his music, oftentimes, promotes his Christian faith, Malawian culture, and social issues that people in general face each day.

Speaking in an interview, Cozizwa said it was intriguing that the lyrics for “Miyala” were scribbled about four years ago.

“Miyala is a song which I wrote in 2015, it has been developing over the years. I have performed it on stage several times and the response is what pushed me to record it as people have been requesting for a digital copy, ” he said.

He admitted that the song originates from Luke 19:40 which says”if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

The motivation to write the lyrics, according to him, was to address those people who feel too special in God’s business. “Those who think without them, the church, or God’s work in general will stay stagnant. This is their song.”

Meanwhile, the Lilongwe based artist has announced that he is in the studio working on a new album to be released soon.

“My previous project was released last June which I did with 2Kay- a mixtape called Zozizwa-Tape which comprised of songs such as Kulibe, Zikili, Ulemelero and Amachita Zozizwa.

He adds: “And for this year, I want to release three singles accompanied with great visuals, which then after the hype, probably release an album by the end of this year. Otherwise, I am always writing and recording so much that I already have enough songs for an album already.”

Commenting on the song, Mzuzu based artist Afiloli said he is really excited for him releasing this song as Cozizwa has never disappointed his fans.

“There is sagacity in the song and real acoustics as well as message itself because it depicts real life situation. I’m assured it’s going to top many music chats in the country, ” challenged Afiloli.
