Revered Zimbabwean songstress Amara Brown, popularly known for her hit song akiliz has confirmed she will be performing live at the Sand Music festival which is slated to take place from 26th to 28th October later this year.
In a video recording making rounds on the social media, Brown tells Malawians: “I have fantastic news for you because I’m coming out to perform live at the Sand Music festival in Salima. See you soon!”
Other artists that will be performing at the carnival this year are: Kenyatta Hill and Andrew Tosh of Jamaica, DJ Stavo of Zimbabwe, Naak Musiq of South Africa and Amayenge of Zambia.
Local artists that will add colour to the event co-hosted by controversial artist Blak Jak, include Piksy, Code Sangala and Ethel Kamwendo.
Tickets for the 3-day annual festival will be sold at K20, 000 in the month of September and K25, 000 in October including at the gate.
