After tasting the feel of Africa Fashion Festival late last year, Malawian fashion enthusiasts have another chance of admiring various African artifacts and fashion merchandise as the event is to take place again this November at Latitude Hotel in Lilongwe.
According to a press statement by the event’s organizers, Lush Africa, it has partnered Latitude 13 Hotel to host the three-day show commencing on the 24th and ending on the 26th of November 2017.
The glamourous event will showcase various arts, and craft from revered local, and international artists in such categories as fashion designing, music, and various arts and crafts.
According to Lush Africa’s manager, Lorraine Mopiwa Kljajic, the experience from last year’s event was the motivating factor for this impending showpiece.
“This year Lush Africa and Latitude 13 Hotels have teamed up to bring back the epitome of fashion in Malawi. Last year’s event was a success and we are back by public demand,” says she.
Unlike last year, this year’s event will be unique as the organizers have added music, and arts, and craft as one way of appreciating African creativity and entertainment industries.
“We have decided to include music, arts and craft as a way of celebrating the African creative and entertainment industry. Lush Africa has also teamed up with Nigerian and Tanzania fashion Organizers to bring a bigger and premium fashion show to Malawi,” reveals Mopiwa Kljajic.
In her remarks, Latitude 13 Hotel Sales and Marketing Manager, Bridgette Sadyalunda said Latitude is proud to be partnering and hosting the event at the hotel as a way of recognizing fashion as an art.
“We were impressed with Africa Fashion Show last year. The show saw Malawians and expatriates coming together to appreciate fashion from across Africa. This year, since Lush Africa has included art and music, what better venue embraces such talents than Latitude 13?” queries she.
